The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will host three roundtable discussions in South Texas this month.
The meetings are organized by USDA’s Office of the Secretary and Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement. State Rural Development Director James Redfield, Farm Service Agency State Executive Director Dan Hunter and other USDA officials will participate.
The roundtables are designed to bring federal, state and local leaders together with farmers, ranchers, distributors and other rural stakeholders to discuss regional priorities and challenges.
USDA officials say the conversations will help ensure federal programs and policies reflect the needs and realities of rural Texas communities.
