A Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Tele-Town Hall on cattle industry issues Tuesday night produced a high level of engagement among members of the livestock community, with many questions addressed during the 90-minute discussion.
The town hall attracted more than 430 attendees. Nearly 30 questions were submitted by participants, and 97 percent of respondents said the town hall provided useful information and was beneficial to them.
Speakers during the town hall included TFB President Russell Boening; Dr. David Anderson, professor and Extension economist in the department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University; Scott Bennett, American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) director of Congressional Relations; and Michael Nepveux, AFBF economist. TFB Communications Director Gary Joiner served as moderator.
“I thought the town hall discussion went well. It’s clear that there are some serious concerns among ranchers and some very real economic impacts being experienced across our state,” Boening said. “The discussion shed light on some of the more pressing questions on the minds of ranchers right now.”

Please consider doing these town halls with experts on Ag and rural related topics at least a couple of times a month. This one was very informative.
