Applications for 2015 Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) youth scholarships must be postmarked no later than March 20. Faxed and emailed applications will not be accepted.

The following TFB scholarships, totaling nearly $80,000 annually, are available to youth of TFB member families who are in pursuit of higher education.

• S.M. True Jr. Agricultural Scholar Award—$20,000, payable in $5,000 increments to a junior in college attending a major college or university majoring in an agriculture program.

• Dick Mitchell Scholarship—$1,000 to one high school junior or senior who attended TFB’s Youth Leadership Conference.

• Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) scholarship—$1,000 to a high school senior from each of TFB’s 13 districts who is interested in a future in agriculture.

• YF&R for Enrolled College Students—similar to the YF&R scholarship.

• TFB Memorial/Honorary Scholarship and District Scholarship Program—in each of the 13 TFB districts, one $1,200 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors.
