Tyler Froberg of Alvin was named Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) 2026 Texas Ag Influencer of the Year for his efforts to connect consumers with agriculture through social media.
Froberg, who is known online as @FarmerFroberg, uses social media to give followers a look at life on his family’s farm. His content features his family and combines fun, lighthearted videos with educational information to help followers better understand agriculture.
Froberg’s Farm is a family operation located south of Houston. The family grows strawberries, blackberries and other crops and raises pigs and chickens. The Frobergs market their products directly to consumers through an on-site farm stand that’s open seven days a week.
Agritourism also plays a major role in the family’s operation. Annual events include a strawberry festival, watermelon festival, summer activities for children, fall festival and cut-your-own Christmas trees.
“When we started making content, we never had intentions of winning awards. We just wanted to show those who were interested our little family farm in Texas,” Froberg said. “Over the years, we have grown to love sharing out story, educating, and above all else, using social media for the glory of our Lord.”
TFB established the Texas Ag Influencer of the Year Award in 2025 to recognize content creators who use social media to promote agriculture, share accurate information and build connections with consumers.
“Tyler brings a lot of personality and creativity to his content,” Julie Tomascik, TFB associate director of Communications, said. “He finds fun ways to share what happens on the farm while helping his followers learn more about agriculture. That’s exactly the kind of storytelling we want to recognize through this award.”
Froberg enjoys connecting with followers online, but he also wants them to see the farm for themselves.
“There is one thing we always say to everyone we meet, ‘If you are ever in Alvin, make sure to come and see us!’” he said.
As the Texas Ag Influencer of the Year, Froberg received a $5,000 cash prize, official TFB-branded gear and is eligible for a potential influencer contract with TFB.
