Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) awarded $20,000 to 18 county, district and state 4-H programs through the Clover Cash Grant Program.
Now in its seventh year, the program continues to inspire 4-H members to explore agriculture through creative, innovative and engaging educational projects.
“Clover Cash grants give 4-H programs additional resources to bring agriculture into their communities in creative ways,” said Dr. Clarissa Darby, TFB Youth Outreach coordinator. “These projects give students opportunities to learn by doing and build a stronger understanding of agriculture.”
The 17 funded projects cover a range of agricultural topics and learning experiences. Grant funds will support livestock clinics and judging programs, gardening and embryology projects, food science and cooking activities, career exploration and agricultural advocacy and leadership programs. Several projects also incorporate STEM concepts and hands-on activities designed to reach students beyond traditional agricultural settings.
“Each 4-H program knows what will connect with youth in its community,” Darby said. “Clover Cash helps them turn those ideas into educational experiences that can introduce more students to agriculture and the opportunities it offers.”
