Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) announced the organization’s 2026 scholarship recipients, awarding $387,000 to graduating high school seniors and enrolled college students.

“We’re proud of the 2026 Texas Farm Bureau scholarship recipients and confident they’ll make a lasting impact on agriculture and the future of Texas,” Dr. Clarissa Darby, TFB Youth Outreach coordinator, said. “Farm Bureau’s scholarship program exists to open doors, whether students are learning hands-on in a trade or pursuing academic goals in higher education.”

Scholarships for enrolled college students
The recipient of the 2026 S.M. True Jr. Agricultural Scholar Award is Miranda Skaggs of Brazos County. She is a junior at Texas A&M University and received the $25,000 scholarship.

The four finalists are Texas A&M University students Audrianna Poage, Carlee Hoffmann and Carlton Bauer and Oklahoma State University student Elleigh Campbell. All received a $5,000 scholarship.

The Rural Veterinary Scholarship recipients are Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine students Kagan Migl and John Branch and Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences students Christopher Box and Jack Detten. The recipients each received a $20,000 scholarship.

The four finalists each received a $2,500 scholarship. They are Texas Tech student Jaedyn Johnson and Texas A&M students John Deramus, Kailee Knezek and Merrick Irvin.

Through TSTC, 70 $1,000 Texan Success Scholarships were awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Three Young Farmer & Rancher Enrolled College Student Scholarships were awarded $2,500 scholarships.

High school scholarships
Thirteen graduating seniors were awarded Young Farmer & Rancher scholarships valued at $1,500.

One student who attended the 2025 Thrive Conference through TFB’s Student Success Series received the Dick Mitchell Memorial Scholarship valued at $1,000.

Thirteen seniors were awarded district memorial and honorary scholarships. All students were awarded a $5,000 scholarship.

An additional 39 high school seniors received district scholarships.

Additional scholarships
TFB also awards $45,000 in scholarships to high school students through FCCLA, Texas 4-H and Texas FFA, as well as $1,500 through the Texas Rural Education Association Scholarship.

The winners of TFB’s AgVentures Challenge were awarded $24,000 in scholarships. To be eligible to participate in the challenge, students had to attend TFB’s 2025 Thrive Conference.
