Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) named the first recipients of the new Ag Mechanics Grant Program for 2024-2025.
Ten grants, totaling $25,000, were awarded to schools and educational programs across the Lone Star State to increase students’ knowledge of agricultural mechanics and metal technology skills.
“This grant will provide funding to meet the need in trade school classrooms and allow students to graduate from high school with skills that can be directly transferred to agriculture and supporting industries,” McKenna Bush, TFB Youth Outreach coordinator, said. “Educators can use the funds for additional resources to provide the necessary equipment for student learning and help foster a deeper understanding for how mechanics and technology work alongside agriculture.”
The grants are valued at $2,500.
