The majority of the Lone Star State has been blessed with rains over the past few weeks, which could mean a good crop of wildflowers this spring.

“In the landscape, that means winter weeds. We like to think of them as wildflowers when they grow up on the roadside, but in the yard, many times they’re weeds,” horticulturist John Begnaud reported on the TFB Radio Network.

The wildflowers could look especially beautiful in the Hill Country this spring.

Begnaud discusses wildflowers and care for Texas shrubs and trees in Texas News and Views with Curt Lancaster. Hear the full report here: http://bit.ly/218hn0Y.
