Amarillo and Lubbock agriculture credit companies recently announced they will merge to allow them to better serve agriculture operations large and small, according to the Amarillo Globe-News.

The new entity will operate as AgTexas Farm Credit Services, the name of the Lubbock entity merging with Amarillo-based Great Plains Ag Credit. The corporate office for the combined company will remain in Lubbock.

The larger AgTexas will operate 16 offices in the Texas Panhandle, South Plains and North Central Texas areas.
