The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) recently approved financial assistance for two urgent needs projects related to the ongoing drought, according to TWDB.
The TWDB’s funding of the two water projects will help the communities address their need for additional water supplies.
• $102,719 in financial assistance to the City of Mart (McLennan County)
• $500,000 in financial assistance to the White River Municipal Water District (Crosby, Dickens and Garza counties)
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources.
