Texas homeschool educators are invited to a two-day workshop full of hands-on, immersive learning in Waco.
Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Homeschool Summer Ag Academy (SAA) helps show homeschool educators how to integrate and connect agriculture into their curriculum.
The free event is set for Aug. 13-14 at the TFB Conference and Training Center.
“The Homeschool Summer Ag Academy equips homeschool educators with knowledge, experiences and resources that help them incorporate agriculture into their curriculum,” said Jordan Bartels, TFB associate director of Organization Division, Educational Outreach.
Through the event, participants will engage in hands-on learning and hear from a variety of educational presenters.
“Site visits offer homeschool educators a chance to take home experiences, knowledge and connections to share with their children through curriculum,” Bartels said.
Registration closes July 30.
Only the educator is eligible. Children are not permitted to attended.
The workshop is limited to 40 participants. A waitlist will begin after the first 40 spots are filled.
A minimum of 15 confirmed attendees are required for the academy to take place.
Participants are responsible for their travel and lodging if coming from a location other than the surrounding area.
Additional hotel information and registration details for the Summer Ag Academy can be found at texasfarmbureau.org/aitc.
