Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) was nationally recognized by the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) for outstanding member programs and achievements in 2025.

The announcement was made during AFBF’s 107th convention held in Anaheim, Calif., where TFB was honored for its efforts in advocacy, coalition building, engagement and outreach, and business and leader development.

“Our accomplishments in 2025 are a direct result of the dedication of our members and leaders across the state,” TFB President Russell Boening said. “This recognition from AFBF underscores the strength of our programs and our role as the Voice of Texas Agriculture.”

TFB’s recognition stemmed from a variety of impactful programs, including educational and urban outreach initiatives. Through efforts like Farm From School, the Ag Literacy Week Book Program and the interactive Doorways to Agriculture exhibit, TFB deepened the understanding of agriculture in classrooms and communities across Texas.

The organization also advocates for farmers, ranchers and rural communities in Austin and Washington, D.C. By engaging with policymakers, providing testimony and working to shape legislation, TFB ensures the voices of Texas agriculture are heard on issues like property rights, trade policies and regulatory changes.

TFB’s leadership development programs—such as the Student Success SeriesCollegiate Farm BureauYoung Farmer & Rancher program and AgLead—also played a key role in earning national recognition. These initiatives are designed to cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders and advocates.

The organization’s strong communication efforts spanning social mediapublications and broadcast media amplify the voices of Texas farmers and ranchers, reaching diverse audiences and strengthening connections between agriculture and the public.

“Texas Farm Bureau is focused on growing understanding and strengthening agriculture’s voice at every level,” Boening said. “From classrooms to the Capitol and digital platforms, our programs are designed to engage Texans and support Texas farmers and ranchers.”

TFB also received the New Horizon Award, which recognizes innovative new state programming, for the Early Ag Teacher Professional Development.

Founded in 1933, TFB has grown into the state’s largest and most influential farm and ranch organization, representing the interests of Texas agriculture for over 90 years.
