The Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) Summer Leadership Conference, set for June 26-28 in San Marcos, offers farmers and ranchers from across the state the opportunity to catch up on the latest in Texas agriculture.

Topics for this year’s conference include issues important to Texas farmers and ranchers both at home and on a global scale.

“The Summer Leadership Conference will cover current topics and give Farm Bureau members a chance to discuss various issues facing agriculture in the state and the nation. Industry experts will be on hand to share their knowledge, too,” TFB President Russell Boening said.

Breakout sessions will cover commodity topics, and Government Affairs staff will provide an overview of the legislative session, highlighting bills important to agriculture and rural Texas.

“This conference is a chance to inform our membership of what’s going on related to commodity and regulatory issues,” Boening said. “We have a good lineup planned with lots of information to help members make the best business decisions for their operations.”

TFB’s commodity advisory committees also will meet during the conference to discuss current issues and possible solutions related to agricultural commodities in the state.

Registration for the conference begins at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 26.

Tuesday, June 27, will be an all-day event with a group lunch. The conference will wrap up on Wednesday, June 28, after a morning general session.

A tentative agenda and room reservation form are available here.

The deadline for room reservations is May 19, and rooms must be cancelled by June 19 to avoid cancellation penalties.
