Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) named the recipients of the homeschool garden grants for 2024-2025.

Fifteen grants, up to $200, were awarded to homeschool educators across the Lone Star State for projects that help increase agricultural literacy and awareness.

The Homeschool Garden Grant Program allows students to make the connection to agriculture through caring for a garden project and relating the project to concepts learned within the curriculum.

“The grants help homeschool educators and their students cultivate a better understanding of food production and agriculture,” said Jordan Bartels, associate director of TFB Organization Division, Educational Outreach. “With the help of the grants, the connection between agriculture, science and gardening is made. Each project fosters a hands-on experience that helps grow an appreciation for the farmers and ranchers who grow our food.”

The awarded projects provide students with hands-on experiential learning about agriculture and food production.
