Texans can tune into agriculture with KTFB-FM Texas Farm & Ranch Radio, a new non-commercial station launched by Texas Farm Bureau (TFB).
The radio station features farm and ranch news from the TFB Radio Network, market reports, agri-weather forecasts, state news headlines and Texas country music.
“Launching this station is a major milestone in our organization’s 91-year history,” Carey Martin, TFB Radio Network manager, said. “Farm Bureau is proud to create a platform dedicated to the needs of farmers, ranchers, agricultural enthusiasts and rural communities.”
TFB’s mission is to be The Voice of Texas Agriculture, and the new radio station does just that—amplifying the voices of farmers and ranchers on the airwaves.
The station’s unique blend of agricultural news and music promises to be a go-to for those who live and work in Texas agriculture and anyone interested in staying connected with the industry. And it’s available wherever you are. The station can be streamed live or downloaded through the KTFB app available on iOS and Android devices.
“KTFB is Texas farm and ranch radio,” Martin said. “Whether you’re in the field, on the road or at home, the station is designed to keep the state’s rural communities informed and entertained by sharing the latest news and stories of farmers and ranchers.”
The station’s call letters—KTFB—feature the organization’s abbreviation.
“It’s a nice touch to remind you that you’re tuning into Texas Farm Bureau’s radio station and that you’ll hear accurate ag-related programming,” Martin said.
KTFB is a low-power FM radio station. TFB applied for a low-power FM license through the Federal Communications Commission last fall and was approved earlier this year.
“Texas is the first Farm Bureau organization to launch a radio station, and we’re proud of our efforts to bring agriculture to the airwaves,” Martin said.
