Texas hit six-week highs for the amount of eggs laid and broilers placed at the end of last week.
A total of 15,701 eggs were laid, up 84 eggs over the week prior and 40 eggs over the most recent high in late April.
The national number of eggs sat at 216,869 at the end of the week. This was 672 under the high for the last six weeks.
As for placed broiler chicks, Texas tallied up 13,049, up 342 chicks from the previous week and 107 chicks from the past six-week high.
The national number for placed chicks was 178,454, down 914 chickens from the six-week high.
