Texas livestock and pet owners should prepare now for any possible storms during hurricane season, which continues through Nov. 30.
The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) encourages owners to plan ahead for the potentially severe weather over the next few months by having shelter and evacuation plans in place. Livestock and pet owners also are encouraged to have a way to identify the animals—ear tags, microchips and brands—in the case of an emergency.
