Featuring topics of interest for Blacklands farmers, the 52nd Stiles Farm Field Day is set for June 16 in Thrall, according to AgriLife Today.
Presentations and topics will include management of new technology in cotton, methods to reduce planting populations in grain sorghum, sources of phosphorous in starter fertilizer, managing sugarcane aphids and aquaponics production and facilities. Also, equipment demonstrations will be conducted by industry representatives.
Cost is $10 for those wanting to earn three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with field tours start at 8:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided and the field day is to conclude at 2:30 p.m.
