The annual South Texas Beef Cattle Short Course, presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife) and Bexar County Beef Cattle Committee, is set for Jan. 8, 15 and 22 in south San Antonio.
Short course presentations will be held on three consecutive Thursday evenings in January, according to AgriLife Today.
Session topics include laws and regulations, plus control options and management of feral hogs on Jan. 8; the effects of proper nutrition and wildlife on beef cattle on Jan. 15; and the future of cattle marketing and common brush-management mistakes, including those in controlling forage and cedar control on Jan. 22.
RSVP is required two days prior to each session. Registration starts at 6 p.m. for each evening session, with presentations to begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per session.
