Learn proper management of riparian areas, the interface between land, a river or stream, during a free one-day course May 16 in Hamilton.
The Proper Functioning Condition Riparian Workshop will include a classroom portion and field instruction along the Lampasas River, according to AgriLife Today. Three continuing education units will be available for participants who hold private pesticide applicator licenses.
Conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the workshop will address riparian and wetland conditions and the basic interaction of hydrology, erosion and vegetation for Central Texas creeks and rivers.
