Young farmers, ranchers and agricultural professionals from across the state are invited to Jellystone Park in Burleson on July 19-21 for a weekend full of fellowship, networking and learning.

The 2024 Summer Social is hosted by Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) Advisory Committee.

The event is open to TFB members who are ages 18 to 35 and their children.

“Summer Social is a weekend of fun activities for our families, combining networking and family fun. Kids can play and get to know each other while their parents are doing the same,” said Jay Clark, chair of TFB’s YF&R Advisory Committee.

The activities will begin Friday, July 19, with dinner and a magic show.

Saturday’s activities will include family time at the park, TFB workshops, a grilling demonstration and dinner. The social will end Sunday morning with a devotional.

“We are going to start Saturday off exploring the park. Then, we’re going to have a few workshops in the afternoon. The workshops will cover topics like the YF&R contests and building your county’s YF&R program,” Clark said. “The Summer Social is an opportunity to network family-style. Spots are limited, so if you’re planning to go, we recommend getting registered as soon as possible.”

It will be held at North Texas Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in Burleson.

Registration closes June 14.

Registration packages for individuals and families are available online.
