A Pond Management Workshop will be held Aug. 7 in Hondo.
The workshop, which will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., is presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offices in Bexar, Medina and Uvalde counties.
The workshop will focus on pond ecology, stocking rates for fish, selecting the right fish species, pond management, aquatic plant identification and mosquito control.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units—one in laws and regulations, one general and one in integrated pest management–will be offered.
A registration fee of $15 in cash or personal check is payable at the door.
