This fall, the Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Doorways to Agriculture exhibit will open the doors of Texas agriculture to consumers.
The interactive, agricultural learning experience will be on display at fairs and livestock shows across the state.
“Doorways to Agriculture invites consumers of all ages to step into the world of Texas farms and ranches,” Todd Swick, TFB Outreach coordinator, said. “The exhibit connects everyday items like tacos and school supplies to agriculture through hands-on experiences. It’s a fun, interactive way to see just how farming and ranching is part of our daily lives.”
Consumers can explore agriculture through the exhibit’s interactive games, videos, demonstrations and presentations.
Swick noted the exhibit helps build connections with consumers who are several generations removed from agriculture.
“With less than 2% of the population actively farming or ranching, the connection between consumers and agriculture can feel distant. Doorways to Agriculture helps bridge that gap and show that behind every door, there’s a farmer or rancher,” Swick said.
The exhibit highlights livestock and crops grown in Texas and how agriculture plays a role in almost everything Texans do, Swick noted.

Sept. 4-13
