Eight one-day workshops will be held this summer to help teachers make the connection with agriculture through science and hands-on activities.
The workshops, hosted by Texas Farm Bureau, aim to show teachers how to incorporate agricultural concepts into their course curriculum and offer practical experience in agricultural-related concepts.
“Teachers get the opportunity to better understand agriculture through hands-on learning, and we provide them with innovative techniques to incorporate agriculture in their classrooms,” Jett Mason, TFB director of Educational Outreach, said.
Teachers also receive up to seven continuing education credits in addition to the resource material.
Mason noted the workshops are also an opportunity for teachers to network with their colleagues and agricultural professionals.
“Teachers can grow their professional network by connecting with other teachers in the area and by building relationships with others in agriculture,” he said. “The workshops are a great learning and networking opportunity
