The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) announced new members to the Texas Shrimp Advisory Committee, which is responsible for the marketing and promotion of Gulf shrimp.
The committee also helps TDA with education, awareness and tourism campaigns pertaining to Gulf shrimp.
Recently appointed members of the committee include:
• Monte Sheffield, owner of Palmer Restaurant, San Marcos;
• Andrea Hance, executive director of Texas Shrimp Association, Brownsville;
• Ivo Goga, director of Texas Pack, Inc., Port Isabel;
• Caleb Pool, district representative for U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry, Amarillo;
• Ken Garcia, owner of Quality Seafood, Palacios.
