A Lone Star Healthy Streams workshop is set for March 25 in Copperas Cove. The workshop will focus primarily on issues within the Lampasas River watershed, according to AgriLife Today.
The Lone Star Healthy Streams program aims to educate Texas livestock producers and landowners on how to best protect Texas waterways from bacterial contamination associated with livestock production and feral hogs, said Matt Brown, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (AgriLife) program specialist.
Three general continuing education credits from the Texas Department of Agriculture will be offered for certified pesticide applicators.
The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A catered lunch will be provided at no cost, but an RSVP is requested by March 23. Click here to RSVP online or call Brown at 979-862-8072.
