Farmers and ranchers interested in gaining a better understanding of the volatile markets by using marketing tools are encouraged to attend an Intro to Futures Workshop in six Panhandle locations across three months.
Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and the Risk Management Agency, the one-day workshop will cover margin accounts, an introduction to futures and options, short hedges and how these tools relate to cash marketing tools. Hands-on exercises also will be used to enhance the workshop lessons.
For a complete list of meeting dates and locations, visit AgriLife Today.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Registration, which includes materials and meals, is $50.
