Young farmers, ranchers and ag professionals can step up to the plate for a new event with Texas Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer & Rancher program. Free tickets to select baseball games are available to members ages 18-35 through Meet Texas Farm Bureau YF&R at the Ballpark.
“This event is part of our effort to bring our young producers and ag professionals together outside of the farm,” said Hailey Hayes, chair of TFB’s YF&R Advisory Committee. “It’s a time for fun, networking and watching America’s favorite pastime with our friends and families.”
Meet Texas Farm Bureau YF&R at the Ballpark aims to strengthen relationships between young members and Farm Bureau.
“Our members put in long hours on the farm and ranch,” Hayes said. “This is an opportunity to relax and enjoy time with old and new friends alike, as well as connect with other members involved in the YF&R program.”
Tickets are available for the following games:
- May 10 – Corpus Christi Hooks
- May 25 – Houston Astros
- June 15 – Round Rock Express
- July 6 – Amarillo Sod Poodles
- July 20 – Texas Rangers
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to four per member-family.
Registration information will be available at texasfarmbureau.org/YFR. Registration will open one month prior to each game.
TFB’s YF&R program helps develop young leaders for a future in agriculture through leadership opportunities and networking activities. Several events throughout the year give young farmers, ranchers and ag professionals the opportunity to become more involved with Farm Bureau, hear from industry experts and learn more about agriculture in a location that is pure Texas. Upcoming events include the Fall Tour Sept. 4-7 in the Coastal Bend and several activities at TFB’s annual meeting in December.
