Pest control measures for forests under drought and extreme environmental stressors will be reviewed at the Forest Pest Seminar set for Feb. 14 in Lufkin.

According to AgriLife Today, the workshop, hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M Forest Service, will focus on diseases, competing vegetation and herbicide applications. State Rep. Trent Ashby will give an update on legislation affecting Texas forestry resource management during lunch.

Registered Texas Pro Loggers and pesticide applicator license holders can each earn five continuing education units. Participants who are registered members of the Society of American Forestry are eligible for five continuing forestry education units.
