Feral hogs cause millions of dollars annually of damage to property, crops and watershed areas. A workshop, offering at least four hours of continuing education units through the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), is slated for May 22 in Blanco.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Texas State Soil and Water Conservation will host the workshop. Topics will include feral hog biology, safety and disease, damage to crops, property and watersheds and hunting laws and regulations, according to AgriLife Today.
