A feral hog abatement and predator control field demonstration is slated for March 22 in Denton County. The event, hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, is free and open to the public.
Feral hogs are a nuisance in Denton County, destroying crops and pastures, according to one Extension specialist. To help landowners be proactive in learning control methods, Texas Wildlife Services damage management biologist will demonstrate how to use snares and build a trap—even with limited funds—to capture the destructive animals.
