In an effort to advance U.S. proposals to reduce tariffs and improve market access for farmers and ranchers in trade negotiations, the American Farm Bureau Federation supports the introduction of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) legislation in Congress.
U.S. agriculture relies heavily on exports, and this legislation will encourage countries to finalize negotiations with the U.S. without fear of changes made through amendments in Congress, the organization said in a news release.
