Proposed changes were recently announced for one of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) largest conservation programs for working agricultural lands.
The proposed rule establishes the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) as one of the programs to help the Regional Conservation Partnership Program accomplish its purposes and continues to enable owners and managers of private lands to reach the next level of conservation, according to Drovers CattleNetwork.
The agency is seeking public comment on the rule through Jan. 5, 2015.
