Blanco County Farm Bureau President Don Casey recently presented a local school district with grant funding from Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) new Learning from the Ground Up Garden Grant Program.
The new program gives grants to schools across Texas to build a school garden or greenhouse or improve existing structures.
The goal of the program is to provide Texas schools with the opportunity to form the connection between small scale gardening and the larger scale efforts of farmers and ranchers through establishment or improvement of school gardens and greenhouses.
