Cody and Erika Archie, the husband-and-wife team behind the popular Bar 7 Ranch social media content, have been named Texas Farm Bureau’s Texas Ag Influencer of the Year, recognizing their work sharing the story of Texas agriculture with audiences far beyond the ranch gate.
Launched earlier this year, the Texas Ag Influencer of the Year Contest celebrates Texas-based content creators who use social platforms to engage, inspire and teach the public about food production, farming, ranching and rural life. The contest highlights creators whose original, accurate content reflects the values of Texas agriculture and spotlights the powerful role social media plays in bridging the gap between farmers and consumers.
“Hundreds of nominations from across the state highlighted the depth and diversity of voices sharing agriculture’s story online,” said Julie Tomascik, associate director of communications for Texas Farm Bureau. “From row crops and ranching to food, fiber and rural life, content creators across Texas are connecting consumers with agriculture. Texas Farm Bureau is proud to recognize Cody and Erika Archie as the Texas Ag Influencer of the Year for the engaging way they represent Texas agriculture on social media.”
With more than 1.3 million followers on platforms including TikTok and Instagram, the Archies have built a loyal community by inviting audiences into their everyday life at Bar 7 Ranch.
Their content showcases both the highs and lows of ranch life and helps bring agriculture to a broader audience.
“We’re really humbled and honestly blown away by this honor. Texas Farm Bureau has been part of our lives for about 20 years now, and a big reason we ever started sharing our story in the first place,” Erika said. “If our little corner of the internet helps people see the heart of Texas agriculture, then we’re grateful to be a part of it. Our prayer is that we represent Texas agriculture well.”
As the Texas Ag Influencer of the Year, the Archies received a $5,000 cash prize, official TFB-branded gear and are eligible for a potential influencer contract with TFB.
