Young farmers, ranchers and agricultural professionals have the opportunity to grow as leaders and shape the future of Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) by applying for the 2026 Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) Advisory Committee.
“The YF&R Advisory Committee helps build the future of Texas agriculture and the next generation of Farm Bureau leaders,” Roger Hall, TFB YF&R coordinator, said. “It’s a chance to collaborate with like-minded peers, share ideas and make an impact.”
The committee is composed of a minimum of eight and a maximum of 15 members. Ten members are returning for 2026, and up to five positions are open.
Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35 on or before Feb. 1, 2026. Committee members serve a one-year term, with the option to serve up to three years.
“Young producers and agricultural professionals bring valuable insight and energy to the table,” Hall said. “This is a great opportunity to get involved and help guide the direction of our YF&R programs.”
Advisory committee members help plan the YF&R Spring Conference, Fall Tour and regional meetings. They also travel to Washington, D.C., to discuss agricultural issues with Congressional lawmakers.
In addition to shaping programs and events, committee members expand their network, develop leadership skills and represent the voices of young Texans in agriculture.
Farm Bureau encourages individuals from all backgrounds, sectors and areas of the state to apply.
Committee members are selected at large through an application and nomination process.
