During the annual Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host three educational events. The show is set for Dec. 2-4.
According to AgriLife Today, the educational events will include the long-standing Panhandle Farm and Ranch Management Symposium, farm bill analysis program and a session on wheat.
The farm bill program will cover farm bill provisions, sign-up requirements and deadlines. It will be free, with the exception of the $2 admittance fee to the Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show.
Focus on Wheat in the Texas Panhandle will provide an over overview of wheat, including weeds, diseases, insects, breeding, fertility and plant growth regulators. The program has a $10 registration fee and offers four Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units—two general, one integrated pest management and one drift management—for pesticide applicators.
