Starting Monday, Texas farmers will be able to select a safety net program from the 2014 Farm Bill to protect them over the next five years or more. To help those who are having a hard time selecting a program, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host another series of farm bill decision aid meetings on the South Plains.
The free public meetings will begin Tuesday, Nov. 25 and run through Friday, Dec. 19 at varying locations and times.
The meetings are designed to help farmers through the sign-up process and to teach them to use the online decision-aid tool that’s right for them.
