A multi-agency continuing education units (CEUs) program is set for March 5-6 during the annual Wichita Falls Ranch and Farm Expo.
Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, the March 5 program will begin with a presentation about the ever-changing beef sector by Tim Niedecken, executive director of Association Services for the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. The program also will include brush management strategies for profit, laws and regulations for critter control, environmentally safe chemicals for pond management and pest management for quail.
During the March 6 program, demonstrations of technology in equipment to minimize drift and integrated pest management will take place and speakers will address technology and winter canola to control grassy weeds in wheat.
Private applicators will be eligible to receive up to eight Texas Department of Agriculture CEUs. Four general and one laws and regulations will be offered on March 5. Three units—one drift management, one laws and regulations and one general—will be offered on March 6.
The cost is $25, which entitles participants to attend a single session or both sessions.
