Fertilizer prices fluctuate, so farmers and ranchers should develop a plan to handle the changes. Information to help them do just that will be provided in a forage systems and fertilizer training strategies training hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service April 25 in Overton.
The one-day training will feature presentations on soil testing and plant nutrients, forage species and establishment, how to get the most out of your fertilizer dollar, an introduction to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s web soil survey, alternative fertilizers and designing a forage system for your operation, according to AgriLife Today.
Cost is $60 per person, which includes educational materials and a meal.
