The National Agricultural Law Center’s will host a free webinar, “Considering Carbon: Agribusiness & All Things Crypto; An Introduction to the Basics,” on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 11 a.m. CDT.

This webinar will focus on the application of crypto and blockchain technologies to agribusinesses and environmental issues such as carbon offsets.

The presenter, Carol Goforth, a university professor at the University of Arkansas School of Law, will briefly review the regulators active in the space and discuss current crypto projects that are currently active with agricultural applications. She also will share how blockchain and cryptoassets can track and facilitate the effective use of carbon offsets.

Goforth specializes in business associations and securities regulation, and she has become a leading expert on the regulation of cryptoassets and transactions.
