Need to earn continuing education units? The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Kaufman County will host the First Chance CEU program from noon to 6 p.m. March 7 in Kaufman.

Private pesticide applicator license holders can earn five Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) continuing education units—two in the general category, two in integrated pest management and one in laws and regulations.

Topics will include weed and brush control, forage recovery, insect management for forages and methods for controlling buzzards, coyotes and feral hogs.

Registration is $15. Participants should bring their pesticide license or pesticide number to the training, as it is now required by TDA to register. For more information, contact (972) 932-9069.
