Several primary races are far from settled and Texas candidates will head to runoff elections in May, according to the Texas Tribune.
In the Republican primary for agriculture commissioner, Sid Miller and Tommy Merritt are headed to a runoff, while the Democratic party will see Jim Hogan and Kinky Friedman in a runoff.
Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and primary challenger Dan Patrick will face each other in the May 27 runoff. Rep. Dan Branch and Sen. Ken Paxton will be in a runoff election for attorney general.
