Farmers and ranchers have just under a month left to sign up for the Rainfall Index-Annual Forage Insurance Plan (RI-AF) for the fall growing season.
According to AgriLife Today, the deadline for the risk policy is July 15. The deadline for the spring growing season is Dec. 15.
RI-AF is a risk policy designed to provide those with livestock the ability to buy protection against losses due to drought.
