A new pair of socks can help take agricultural literacy one step further through Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Socks for a Cause campaign.

Now through Jan. 31, TFB-branded socks and a variety of agriculture-inspired designs are available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the National Agriculture in the Classroom® Organization (NAITCO).

“At Texas Farm Bureau, we know agricultural literacy starts with giving students opportunities to learn about where their food, fiber and natural resources come from,” said Jordan Bartels, TFB associate director of Organization Division, Education and Outreach. “This campaign is a fun way for Texans to support agricultural literacy while showing their appreciation for agriculture.”

TFB’s Agriculture in the Classroom® program is an affiliate of NAITCO and benefits from the national resources, professional development and other educational opportunities to help teachers bring agriculture into their classrooms.

“Supporting agricultural literacy means investing in the next generation,” Bartels said. “Socks for a Cause allows us to give back to an organization that helps Texas teachers connect their students to agriculture through engaging lessons and activities that tie back to any curriculum and grade level.”

The current collection features several TFB designs. Other agriculture-inspired designs highlight cattle, sheep, bees, grain sorghum, wildlife and more.

The socks are $13.99 per pair, with discounts offered when purchasing multiple pairs.

“Whether you’re looking for a gift or something fun to wear, these socks help you take a step toward strengthening agricultural literacy,” Bartels said.
