Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) named the recipients of the Ag Mechanics Grant Program for 2026-2027.

Ten grants, totaling $25,000, were awarded to schools and educational programs across the state to increase students’ knowledge of agricultural mechanics and metal technology skills.

“This grant helps meet a growing need in trade school classrooms by giving students hands-on experience and skills they can take directly into careers in agriculture and related industries,” Dr. Clarissa Darby, TFB Youth Outreach coordinator, said. “These funds give educators the resources and equipment they need to enhance learning and help students see how mechanics, technology and agriculture come together in the workforce.”

The grants are valued at $2,500.

Recipients of the 2026-2027 ag mechanics grants are:

  • Trinidad High School, Henderson County
  • Hart High School, Castro County
  • Refugio High School, Refugio County
  • La Joya High School, Hildago County
  • Trenton High School, Fannin County
  • Devine High School, Medina County
  • M. King High School, Kleberg County
  • Klein High School, Harris County
  • Industrial High School, Jackson County
  • Coleman High School, Coleman County

The 2027-2028 applications will open in April and close August 2027.
