Texas homeschool educators are invited to a two-day workshop designed to bring agriculture to life through hands-on, immersive learning experiences this summer.

Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Homeschool Summer Ag Academy (SAA) highlights how agriculture can be integrated into homeschool curriculum while connecting educators with resources.

The free event is set for Aug. 12-13 in the greater Houston area.

“Texas Farm Bureau’s Homeschool Summer Ag Academy equips homeschool educators with knowledge, experiences and resources that help them incorporate agriculture into their curriculum,” Carson Read, TFB education coordinator, said.

Through the event, participants will engage in interactive learning sessions, hear from a variety of educational presenters and take part in a site visit that reinforces classroom concepts through real-world application.

“Educators leave the academy with hands-on experiences, practical knowledge and connections they can bring back to their classrooms and learning environments at home,” Read said.

Registration for the Homeschool Summer Ag Academy closes July 29.

Attendance is limited to educators only, and children are not permitted to attend.

The workshop is capped at 40 participants. A waitlist will begin after the first 40 spots are filled.

Participants are responsible for their travel and lodging if coming from a location other than the surrounding area.
