An overview of trending agricultural topics will be the focus of Texas Farm Bureau’s Summer Conference set for June 22-24 in San Marcos.

“Texas farmers and ranchers are facing a wide range of challenges, and it’s more important than ever that we stay informed and involved,” TFB President Russell Boening said. “This conference is a chance to learn from industry experts and connect with fellow farmers and ranchers.”

Featured topics and speakers
This year’s conference will cover issues impacting Texas farmers at state, national and international levels.

Monday afternoon sessions will cover New World screwworm and the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority.

General sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will highlight major issues impacting agriculture, including the growing demand for data centers and the strain they place on land, water and energy resources.

Attendees will also hear updates on federal policy discussions, including the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and the Make America Healthy Again initiative, and how those efforts could affect farmers, ranchers and rural communities.

Disruptions to trade, inputs and agricultural markets tied to global tensions and ongoing conflicts will also be discussed.

TFB’s Government Affairs team will provide an outlook for the 90th Texas Legislative Session, which begins in January.

Additional sessions will focus on current market conditions and economic pressures facing agriculture, as well as Farm Bureau programs and resources available to members.
