Consumers of all ages can explore Texas agriculture through Texas Farm Bureau’s (TFB) Doorways to Agriculture exhibit this fall.

The exhibit offers an interactive learning experience into agriculture and will be on display at fairs, livestock shows and events across the Lone Star State.

“Doorways to Agriculture is an exhibit that exposes people to the diversity of Texas agriculture,” Todd Swick, TFB Urban Outreach coordinator, said. “Just as the name says, it opens the doors to farms and ranches and is a great way for kids and adults to connect what happens on farms and ranches to the products we buy in the store and use at home, school and everywhere in between.”

Doorways to Agriculture is designed to engage consumers about why agriculture is important and to build connections with consumers who are several generations removed from agriculture.

“Less than 2% of the nation’s population actively farms and ranches,” Swick said. “Doorways to Agriculture allows visitors to learn where their food, fiber and fuel come from, right at their fingertips. It’s an opportunity for consumers to experience agriculture in a new way.”

The exhibit includes interactive games, videos, demonstrations and presentations.
