The Texas Farm Bureau (TFB) has numerous scholarships, totaling nearly $80,000 annually, available to youth of TFB member families who are in pursuit of higher education.
TFB scholarships include:
• S.M. True Jr. Agricultural Scholar Award—$20,000, payable in $5,000 increments to a junior in college attending a major college or university majoring in an agriculture program
• Dick Mitchell Scholarship—$1,000 to one high school junior or senior who attended TFB’s Youth Leadership Conference
• Young Farmer & Rancher (YF&R) scholarship—$1,000 to a high school senior from each of TFB’s 13 districts who are interested in a future in agriculture
• YF&R for Enrolled College Students—similar to the YF&R scholarship
• TFB Memorial/Honorary Scholarship and District Scholarship Program—in each of the 13 TFB districts, one $1,200 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors

Many county Farm Bureaus also offer scholarships to youth within their county. Annually, more than $100,000 in scholarships is given through county Farm Bureaus. Check with your local county Farm Bureau for local scholarships.
